  3. How do I opt out from the pension scheme?

Once you have been enrolled into a workplace pension scheme you can choose to leave the scheme at any time.

If you leave the pension scheme within a month of your employer adding you to the scheme, you'll be opting out and will therefore get back any money you've already paid in.

You would not be able to get your payments refunded if you leave the scheme later - the contributions will stay in your pension until you retire.
